Vi's cakes and other bakes terms & conditions

Following your consultation/enquiry, your quote is valid for 6 months, paying deposit (see below) secures  this price & prevents any further price increases, except in exceptional circumstances beyond our control e.g. fuel price increase etc.

A non-refundable deposit of £30 is required in order to secure the commission of your cake and chosen date with us.

Payment should be made by bank transfer prior the collection/delivery or cash during collection/delivery.

In the event of cancellation, your deposit is non refundable, but may be transferable at Vi's cakes and Other Bakes discretion only. In the unlike event of cancellation by us, you will be given as much notice as possible and any payments made will be refunded immediately.

Please discuss with us if yourself or any of your guests have special dietary requirements. Please be aware that although these ingredients can be removed from the cake, they are still used in our kitchen so we cannot guarantee that any of our cakes are completely free of all traces for people who are highly sensitive.

NON EDIBLE ITEMS

Most cakes contain small  proportions of inedible items, it is the client's responsibility to ensure these are removed before consumption e.g. support dowels, ribbon, wires in sugar flowers, toothpicks etc.

Delivery charges are calculated on a millage and time basis. Alternatively, cakes can be collected from our premises. 

If you choose delivery, it is our intention that your cake is delivered in perfect condition. However we ask for patience with factors that might be beyond our control (e.g. traffic conditions) as we can't be held liable for any such delays. 

We cannot be held responsible for any damage that is rendered to the cake at the venue, once we have left the premises. It is with this in mind, we ask you to check that you are happy with the condition of the cake before we leave.

If you choose to collect the cake, we will not be held liable for any damage to the cake once it has left our premises. Please seek our advice on how to transport it.

Your cake is baked to ensure it is fresh for the date of your event and it will keep its freshness for up to 48 hours if stored properly. Fresh cream based cakes must be kept in the fridge. Buttercream based cakes can be kept in air tight container in ambient temperature. 

Our cakes are made entirely of natural ingredients, so we'd like to remind you that because of this they will not have the extended shelf life of most supermarket cakes, which contain additives and preservatives to ensure their prolonged life.
